Im having issues updating addons, more specific Favorite FilmOn Channels ( http://www.httv.co.il/vt177154.Filmon-addon-for-XBMC-by-AvigDorK ). I have version 1.6 and im trying to upgrade to version 1.7 but in xbian a5 it still shows as 1.6. Any advice?
Same goes for all other updates.

this depends on the repository where the addon is located, so make sure you refresh the repo

Make sure you have a source with the latest version: http://www.superrepo.org
