3TB USB harddisk issues - sancho_marbella - 26th Mar, 2013 05:03 AM Well... I don't really know if this should be in this forum or in the Configuration one. I've just bought a 3TB western digital harddrive and mounted it to a usb (external powered) box. I formatted it to an ext4 filesystem with gpt partitioning system using a livecd. There's is no way I couldn't get it to work on my RPi. Am I doing something wrong? I tried to format it from the RPi but I get always the same wrong size, 801.6GB. Thanks in advance to anyone who may help me! RE: 3TB USB harddisk issues - namtih - 26th Mar, 2013 05:15 AM Unfortunately it seems not as easy as it should be: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=12351 RE: 3TB USB harddisk issues - sancho_marbella - 26th Mar, 2013 07:44 AM I've already read that thread, bit I'm afraid the last answer is too old and no one solved ir yet. On the other side I'd like to keep up with Xbian instead of switching to another distro. Thanks a lot anyway!
