Problems to watch MKV BDRemux - approved101 - 30th Mar, 2013 01:30 AM Hi, I just install Xbian in my Raspberry and you did a fantastic job. I'm going to sell my iXtreamer to us it. Good job. The only problem I have, and maybe I can solve it, it's that my iXtreamer is making NAS service under upnp and I have The Lord of the Rings in BDRemux (37 gb each film). Well, when I try to watch it in Xbian I listen the sound of the film but I cannot watch it. Both are connected via ethernet in the same router. Maybe I have to make some configuration, bcs I listen people that they are playing such kind of films. THks for yr help Brgds RE: Problems to watch MKV BDRemux - rikardo1979 - 30th Mar, 2013 02:22 AM will try to help you or to find the solution. please reply to my PM. RE: Problems to watch MKV BDRemux - rikardo1979 - 30th Mar, 2013 05:13 AM as I looking for your Madia Info output, your file has quite high bitrate - 36,6Mbps not sure if Pi can handle such a bitrate, to be honest. Also the extension of the file is .m2ts which is and raw BD container. I do not personally own any file in this type of container. I prefer MKV even some says it looses the quality. Not sure how RPi handle this kind of files to be honest. If I find the some source with .m2ts I will look into it RE: Problems to watch MKV BDRemux - approved101 - 30th Mar, 2013 08:21 AM In my case the file is mkv. RE: Problems to watch MKV BDRemux - rikardo1979 - 30th Mar, 2013 07:03 PM so I have managed to get similar files to test. I have not found any issues at all and all is playing smooth. I do not use any extra OC settings, all is basically XBian default to make sure I do not confuse people. Only difference to yours that I do stream over LAN/SMB not upnp. Would you be able to try SMB or NFS instead, maybe ? here is Media Info of file I tested Code: Format : BDAV one more tested file, no problems to play Code: Format : BDAV I was wrong with second file I tested, it buffers occasionally with default XBian OC settings, but is playing just fine with High OC. But keep in mind that I use SMB where NFS should be even better, so it might not need to use higher OC sorry for confusion Re: Problems to watch MKV BDRemux - f1vefour - 31st Mar, 2013 02:35 PM If it's a raw BD rip and your only getting sound, it sounds like you haven't purchased the AVC1 codec license. RE: Problems to watch MKV BDRemux - approved101 - 31st Mar, 2013 05:51 PM Thks for your help. I will try to setup ixtreamer as samba server instead of upnp. Regarding yor comments about OC high, how can I manage this setting? How can I buy the codec? Where? Regarding yor comments about OC high, how can I manage this setting? you can buy codec licences on raspberry pi website, but for AVC you do not need any extra licences. Licences are needed only for MPEG-2 or VC-1 codecs The OC setting can be set from GUI if you go to System>Settings>Xbian or from Programs>XBian than you need to turn ON Preferences>Advanced mode and than System>Overclocking or you can do it from SSH where once you connect the xbian-config appears than go to Settings>Licences RE: Problems to watch MKV BDRemux - approved101 - 31st Mar, 2013 09:23 PM OC done and impossible. It is the standard Blu-ray codec from my understanding of formats, I could be wrong but sound and no video equal wvc1. Rip a minute of the video and let us see it if you can. Re: Problems to watch MKV BDRemux - rikardo1979 - 1st Apr, 2013 06:20 AM also read my post above where are the links.dont get confused AVC and VC-1,there are two different things. AVC is an BD standard Re: RE: Problems to watch MKV BDRemux - f1vefour - 3rd Apr, 2013 12:04 AM (1st Apr, 2013 06:15 AM)rikardo1979 Wrote:(1st Apr, 2013 06:03 AM)f1vefour Wrote:(31st Mar, 2013 06:00 PM)rikardo1979 Wrote:(31st Mar, 2013 05:51 PM)approved101 Wrote: Thks for your help.
