btw: this one stutters even on my MacBook ... (xbmc 12.1)
but plays smoothly on my RPI even without DTS passthrough (12.2).

How did you play the file, USB or network share?
The file plays smoothly on mine to, until it gets to the end of the clip, then the audio drops and the file freezes.

nfs share. unfortunately I don't have 12.1 currently anymore to retest (and because of beta1 preparation don't have time to downgrade), but seems in 12.2 is ok.
