add nfs share from Ws2012 - Symbiot - 19th Apr, 2013 02:22 AM

Hi

Maybe it's me.. but I am having some problems adding a NFS share from my Windows Server 2012.
NFS sharing is setup on the server I then go to videos in xbian then files then Add videos.. I then click Browse, goto 'Network FileSystem(nfs) then after it's done scanning I select my Server IP, then I see the share... But I cannot select the share... it just won't do it.
If I just add the server IP as a share.. Then I can add it as a source.
But I cannot access it.

On my server I see:

"Mount operation succeeded.

Address:192.168.1.190
Share:/share"

So it seems to be adding it... x.x.x.190 is my Raspberry pi IP...

Is it my server config? or the xbian/raspberry that has a problem?

oh... samba sharing from my ws2012 works but I want to use nfs because of the better performance.. Wink

is it nfs4 or nfs3 share? xbmc does not support nfs4. if it's nfs3, check wether the share is exported with secure or insecure settings. xbmc needs insecure.

if you want to add share manually, you have to add full name like for instance serveraddr:/sharename

if its nfs4 you can it under xbian directly and access in xbmc as local storage

ah you have name of the share. so check the other things. also would be good to export with squash all option. unfortunately i have knowledge about this on win server (how to setup)
