can't access a shared folder on my laptop(windows 8) - xhuntrkillerx - 2nd May, 2013 04:24 AM
it has been a day now and i still cant figure out how to connect to a shared folder on my laptop(windows 8). whenever i try to access it, it asks me input a username and password, but when i do nothing happens.
Any help would be much appreciated.

U cant access samba share without password since Win XP.

Try the following format:
smb://username:password@IPADDRESS/share

i'm now in the shared folder, but its not letting into any of the subfolders
