Problems with samsung D8000 - stevehaley - 29th May, 2013 12:34 PM

Hi I have two seperate problems with the samsung D8000

1. I cannot get CEC to work without the TV defaulting to the PI when it boots. Have tried CEC init with no results although that works fine with my Panasonic.

and more importantly

2. The return key on my remote appears to do the same as the enter key and the exit key does not function at all.
have done a log dump and when I press the exit key nothing appears in the log at all
when I press the return key I get:
3:13:20 T:2964055104 DEBUG: CecLogMessage - >> 01:8a:91
03:13:20 T:2964055104 DEBUG: CecLogMessage - >> TV (0) -> Recorder 1 (1): vendor remote button down (8A)
03:13:20 T:2964055104 DEBUG: CecLogMessage - key pressed: return (Samsung) (91)
03:13:20 T:2964055104 DEBUG: PushCecKeypress - received key e5 duration 500
03:13:20 T:3042512896 DEBUG: OnKey: 229 (e5) pressed, action is ContextMenu

When I press the enter key I Get:
03:09:20 T:2964055104 DEBUG: CecLogMessage - >> 01:44:00
03:09:20 T:2964055104 DEBUG: CecLogMessage - >> TV (0) -> Recorder 1 (1): user control pressed (44)
03:09:20 T:2964055104 DEBUG: CecLogMessage - key pressed: select (0)
03:09:20 T:2964055104 DEBUG: PushCecKeypress - received key b duration 0
03:09:20 T:3042512896 DEBUG: OnKey: 11 (0b) pressed, action is Select

How can I remap the return key and what is the best way to deal with the missing exit key?
thanks

I have a samsung too and the exit button seems to be called 'Return' on the remote itself.

I don't have remote by my side to check the button names,

but around the "arrows", the button down left is XBMC-ContextMenu (called ?Return?) and down right is XBMC-Return (I suppose called ?Exit? on the remote).
