tuxbox protocol and enigma1 - jeandubois - 6th Jun, 2013 04:47 AM

I have an engima1 satellite receiver (dreambox) which I want "to add to
my videofiles" in xbmc using the tuxbox protocol. Unfortunately this no longer works with the current version of xbian.
I googled a bit and have found this:
trac #13606 (Tuxbox not working for Enigma1 since Frodo Beta1)

The strange thing is, the tuxbox-protocol works well for my other satellite receiver which is enigma2 and it used to work in the past also
for my enigma1 receiver.
(it was the first thing I tried out with xbmc then).

Can anyone here offer help

thanks
jean

works just fine here as I have tested it again.
How did you add the source?

From VIDEOS on main screen do as follows

Videos>Files>Add Videos>Browse

from list select the last one Add network location

Than

Protocol - TuxBox client
Server address - IP of your Satbox
Port - 80
Username - if you have some
Password - if you have some

than OK

after you will see in list

tuxbox://192.168.1.106:80 [ip of your box obviously]
select it and select OK

Enter name so you can identify it in sources, like SAT or what ever

all done

I tried it once more (tried it several times last week) and to my surprise now it works again...strange,
but anyway I'm glad the problem disappeared
