What version of xbian are you running.

And, can you edit your post with a proper dmesg paste (without the bash errors).

It should have been "ifconfig", my mistake.

Are you on a powered usb hub? Or is your PSU at least 1A? The usb devices already fail at kernel level..., so it needs to a hardware problem.

I even tried it with a powered hub. I don't think its a power problem. It worked on Raspbmc without a powered usb hub.

Yeah, it is realtek based. I looked on the forum and these cards are supported without any change in the pi.
