What do you main by shuts off. Analogue audio doesn't have the ability to 'control' anything.

yes, its strange. Audio system gets power off whenever a new audio playback starts. However HDMI works fine.

so once again,
you saying that when you have connected 3.5mm audio jack to your amp and hdmi is not connected, and you play audio files ? this would be really weird ~~~~>>>Please always follow rules and read before you post<<<~~~~ |

RE: xbian shuts down home theatre system while audio play back
this is not possible, not under normal circumstances
the analog audio out have no ability to send or receive any ON/OFF singnals neither on RPi or your amplifier or AV Receiver. Only logical way is maybe if there is some current peak carried over to your system and this have some kind of protection what is shuting down to protect it. Otherwise I do not see any anothe explanatiin if you have HDMI disconnected ~~~~>>>Please always follow rules and read before you post<<<~~~~ |

So you might want to check if there is a leak somewhere. ps. Not to mention what happens when I keep my HDMI-cable close to the receiver-case |
