put "deb http://http.debian.net/debian/ wheezy main contrib non-free" into sources (/etc/apt/sources.list), do apt-get update and install apt-get install firmware-ralink .
then rt2800usb module should work. please check whether the module is included in 3.6.11 as per xbian alpha5. if not, you can install 3.8.13 from beta1. let me know (I will point you how to install).
