Configuring Bluetooth headset to work with XBMC
Hi,
Here is my setup details: Raspberry PI - Model B (512MB RAM) Xbian version - 1.0Beta 1.1 Overclocked - Yes, 950Mhz core SD Card - Class 4, Transcend 4GB Bluetooth Adapter - ASUS BT-211 Bluetooth headset - DEL BH200 So, I've been trying to setup XBMC to send audio to my bluetooth headset and video to hdmi - I've not found success yet. As a last resort, I wanted to post in this forum for help. This is what I've done so far: 1) Starting dbus service. 2) Installing bluetooth package (bluez util) 3) Installing alsa package. 4) Adding my bluetooth headset as a trusted device. 5) Configure asound.conf to include my headset. 6) Playing a test file on paired headset using aplay. All I need to do now (according to guides on the internet) is go into XBMC ->Settings->System->Audio and configure my headset as a custom audio device. However, this is where I am stuck - no matter what I do, I do not get an option to specify a custom audio device - this option is not enabled at all. I just have Analog, HDMI and All, when I select Analog, I have no option to specify a custom audio device. What do I do here? How do I setup up XBMC to send audio to my headset? |
