For my money I'd get a small 2.5" external HDD and install onto that. (see post USB installation)
The speeds quoted are usually for sequential read, and as Xbian is mainly short I/O read and writes, you'd never really notice the difference. Please read before you post How to post a log file If you liked my help, click on "Thanks" to show your appreciation.
