It shouldn't be slower, it should be faster (a lot faster).
Can you fill in the details for "Please read rules........" in my signature and explain why you think it is slower, explain where (boot, playing video's, music or just generally). Can you also post the output from: #egrep --color 'Mem|Cache|Swap' /proc/meminfo #free -m Your config.txt file from /boot and if possible the screen shot of #top when it is running "slow" Remember the RPi is only 10/100 so a Gigabit is throttled.
