Polle, xbian-package-firmware from ver 1.4-4 should be able to boot on those new RPIs, but it is untested as we don't have the hardware to test.
It's not part of thee beta1.1 image (will be with beta2). But what you can do is just flash Beta1.1 image and replace the three files as found here https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian-package-firmware/tree/master/content/boot .
