xbian-config updates updatedb (if you get 0 as result, it is strange bug, if you get 1, continue)
xbian-config updates list upgrades
xbian-config updates list packages

This is what I got:

pi@rpi:~$ sudo -i
root@rpi:~# whoami
root
root@rpi:~# xbian-config updates updatedb
