sudo mount -t debugfs debugfs /sys/kernel/debug
sudo cat /sys/kernel/debug/gpio
sudo modprobe lirc_rpi debug=1
sudo cat /proc/interrupts

Send output and dmesg.

If not, then I am at a loss. It looks like that functionality was not built into the Xbian kernel.

Can you borrow an USB LIRC receiver and see if that works.

At sudo mod2 -d /dev/lirc0 I get a "Command not found"

Still nothing since the command did not work. If it's not in the kernel I'll have to go back to RaspBMC but that was a bad experience - reboot every 10 mins.
