Start/Stop xbmc process upon CEC events
Hey there,
as I am running multiple other services (owncloud, fhem) on my raspberry and don't actually need XBMC most of the time, they unnecessarily suffer from the constant CPU load that XBMC produces even in idle. I was wondering if there might be a way to write a script that reacts on CEC messages that my tv sends when I activate or deactivate the HDMI input that the pi is connected to. I found the command tvservice -M which shout output any events on HDMI as I change HDMI settings on my TV (brand: Hisense) but it doesn't show anything. Also tvservice -s delivers the same status, no matter whether the tv is switched on or off. CEC generally works though! In XBMC I can use my tv's remote to control the pi and the tv automatically switches to the correct HDMI input when the pi is powered on and this option is enabled in XBMC's input settings. Any ideas how I could get this to work? Regards Leo |
