 too much overkill, complications and implications to my taste to achieve such base service as having music accessible. but of course this is not up to me to decide for you and of course is also not the topic there. I will post again after install back. But inbetween for sure check the resampling. As alsa default PCM out is 48000Hz. If you music files are 44100Hz (what is 99%), your RPI is resampling on the fly.
