I had this idea as well, but XBMC has nothing like this implemented (At least I suppose so).
As I see mostly ONLY DEBUG & INFO the only meaningful filtering would be "subsystem". like PVR, CEC(Peripherals), AUDIO, VIDEO, ADDON .... I will try to look into XBMC's Logging class.
