video size wrong and editing congig.txt has no effect

ok pressing '#' had no effect.

I set "disable_overscan=1" in /boot/config.txt
rebooted... no change
rikardo1979, did you mean disable_overscan=1?
i've played around with a number of setting in config.txt and nothing seem to effect it.
