video size wrong and editing congig.txt has no effect

hdmi_group=1
hdmi_mode=16

it's pretty slow though. not very responsive. some movies dont play. i hear the audio but the picture doesn't show up. one bluray rip i could hear but not see and it started skipping around randomly.

anywho, my problem that i originally posted about is solved.
