(Solved) Can't install libcurl4-openssl-dev

You didn't state how you were installing owncloud - or any reference to a web page/guide.

I have a feeling you are trying an outdated or more likely incorrect guide.

For owncloud 7.

I tried This.

and it installed successfully.

If you get 404 at <ip address>/owncloud.

Edit /etc/apache2/sites-available/000-default.conf and change:

Terminal

DocumentRoot /var/www/html

to

Terminal

DocumentRoot /var/www

Save and restart apache.

Terminal

sudo service apache2 restart

and you should be up and running.
