Finally, a most unexpected bonus to this latest fun
 The right rear speaker had not worked for a while now.  I assumed that the old receiver amp had finally started to fail and was planning on stripping it down after the festive season.  But no! - To my amazement, after todays tinkering, it is back and working as good as new.  I don't even have a theory on what was going on there, but am really happy to have it all back for the holidays....   Merry Christmas and thanks for the hints!
