No need to hope: I use the 4GB RasPi 4 and I can confirm xbian works very well.

Yeah, but as reported in other thread, kernel 5.4.32 has issues with playing HEVC vids on Pi4 . So, actually kernel 5.4 AND 5.6 is broken for Pi4
