Sometimes the Pi doesn’t properly detect the display. You can force it to use a specific HDMI mode by editing the config.txt file slope:
Terminal
sudo nano /boot/config.txt
Add or modify the following lines:
Terminal
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
hdmi_group=1
hdmi_mode=16
Save the file and reboot your Raspberry Pi:
Terminal
sudo reboot
