Wi-Fi (Wi-Pi) dongle setup
Hi, there
I have the Wi-Pi dongle form Element 14 (http://cpc.farnell.com/element14/wipi/dongle-wifi-usb-for-raspberry-pi/dp/SC12761). I'm trying to get it working with my install of Xbian 1.0 Alpha 3 but I'm not sure how to. I've entered into xbian-config and tried to enter WLAN settings in DHCP manually, but I end up with this: Code: DHCPDISCOVER on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 6 Upon saving these settings and restarting, an ifconfig shows this: Code: wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0f:54:02:27:be So, it is finding the Wi-Pi dongle, but it's not assigning an inet address. I have also tried to install the drivers for ralink manually (I believe Wi-Pi is a ralink chipset), but they were already installed within Linux. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! |
