Up to here is all I want to achieve. Can You tell me how to get there? I successfully installed squeezelite and managed to let it use the same alsa dmix device as kodi, so they run in parallel. The problem is that squeezelite music runs too fast. It has to do with sample rates. So, I thought, before I twiggle around with alsa, I go the recommended way of using pulse. I installed it with Code: sudo apt install pulseaudio Now I can start it with Code: pulseaudio -D Code: squeezelite -o pulse Same works as root: Code: sudo pulseaudio -D --system What's the right way of starting pulse on boot? xbian doesn't seem to use systemd - that's the most I can find on how to autostart pulse. And then, how can I make Kodi recognize the pulse sinks? When I start kodi after manually starting pulse, it just lists the alsa device and the internal findings, no pulse sinks. |
