Yet Another IR Remote problem
I followed the Configuring a remote Tutorial closely. I am getting stuck on 3b.
When I run irrecord, it continuously asks me for "next": Code: Please enter the name for the next button (press <ENTER> to finish recording) If i do press <ENTER> to finish recording, irrecord does not ask about any other buttons and only KEY_NEXT is listed in ~pi/lircd.conf. FYI: Code: root@rpi1:/etc/lirc# irrecord -version I am using a the DVR button on the Philips RC1445302 (for Verizon FiOS). I don't care what code I use, but it's currently configured for RCA DVD code 0549. Can someone give me any ideas on how to proceed ? |

RE: Yet Another IR Remote problem
When it asks Please enter the name for the next button, it means the next button you want to record. So:
- KEY_NEXT Please enter the name for the next button - KEY_1 Please enter the name for the next button - KEY_2 Please enter the name for the next button - KEY_3 Please enter the name for the next button Until you're done with all of them. Reminds me of: Please press any key to continue Where is the any key? pilight - modular domotica solution

RE: Yet Another IR Remote problem
Is it worth updating the tutorial to mention this fact. I'm sure others will come across this issue.
and .... of course a photo of the "any" key |
