Settings in Xbian are set to analog and 2.0. I wonder if anyone could help me out? Thanks!

RE: [Problem] No analog sound
Have you had this problem for long? Have you restarted XBMC since you changed from HDMI to Analog?

The reason I ask is Xbian Beta 2 is not shipped with aplay - so you have installed it above Beta 2. That would also load ALSA drivers. Now I don't know if it is still an issue but XBMC on the RPi and ALSA do not work together.

That may not be the case. Have you tried on a fresh install - if it works then, then aplay is causing the issue.

yes, ALSA is not officially supported by XBMC so its not included in their builds
