Kids sections in XBMC
We currently use Plex where I have several top level media sources configured - eg Documentaries, TV Shows, Kids TV. In XBMC these all end up under "TV shows".

Our boys like to be able to fire up "Kids Movies" and explore. No need for locking - they just don't care about the grown up stuff!

I've seen advice on locking sources but ... wonder if there's a smoother way we can make sources appear as top level items in the menu as we can do in Plex?

I see I should have put this on xbmc forum - feel free to move!

unfortunately you would not be able to do this under TV Shows section. However you can create separate source in Movie section where you would be able to jump into just we say you name it Kids folder.so than you can search or go into not through Movie Library but you brows it as a files from under Movies/Videos.
This is the only way that came across my mind but I may be wrong and there is something else
