Dell P2314T Touch Screen
Hi All,
I'm new to XBMC and Xbian. I just installed the latest version and it works very nicely on the Raspberry Pi B+ I have. I wonder though if it's possible to enable the touch function of the Dell P2314T I'm using? I see a lot of discussion of the egalax so I have some hope. Even single touch would be great. Thanks, Tony |

Note that your link refers to the egalax screen which I mentioned that people do seem to have gotten to work. However that link is almost two years old and I noted that xbian now has a setting to enable a touch screen which didn't work for me. So I assumed that the egalax support had been built in but perhaps not support for other screens. |

RE: Dell P2314T Touch Screen
we changed for new egalaxy patches from this guy:
https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian-package-xbmc/blob/master/patches/rpi/00-eGalaxytouch/README.xbmc at the end there is http to his site. all xbmc's (rpi/imx6) are compiled with those patches. on the guys web there are native addons to configure touch screen directly in xbmc. i don't have hw so never tried and never got feedback from others. otherwise @TonyPeterson good point, for rpi kernel (3.15.8 for sure - latest stable) there are compiled all touch screens which are part of vanilla kernel (or you can cross check the config at https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian-package-kernel/blob/master/extra-files/rpi/.config). we had some test kernels with a package of 3rd party drivers (like 30 others), but never got feedback so discontinued. in any case (anyone) - open git issue or pull request preferably in case anything needs to be added / changed.
