ATI remote wonder after leia upgrade
Guess what? I'm back! :-)
Well, I've performed an upgrade yesterday, that installed leia. Everything seems fine, except my remote that is not working Code: root@xbian:/etc/lirc/remotes# ls -la I've checked x10-variants/x10-atiwonder.conf It doesn't have my remote codes, and when I replace by my remote codes it doesn't work either. Code: cat /etc/default/lirc Code: /etc/modprobe.d/x10.conf thanks :-) I've rebooted it works now, but I don't know why. something strange Code: Feb 28 09:41:59.640872 xbian lircd: Warning: ------------------------ Log re-opened ---------------------------- |

RE: ATI remote wonder after leia upgrade
It's intermittent. It will happen sometimes when I reboot.
I've set the loglevel to info: Code: Mar 3 16:18:38.414017 xbian lircd: Warning: ------------------------ Log re-opened ---------------------------- |

RE: ATI remote wonder after leia upgrade
Can you tell me which packages has been updated?
Seems, xbian-package-lirc was not updated (there is no new version), so kernel could be the culprit AFAIR sometimes (usually I do not use that remote) the usb dongle was not initialized correctly, no idea why. But your log does not show this issue Does irw showing the rc events? |

RE: ATI remote wonder after leia upgrade
Plugged USB dongle to my Pi3B+ and voila, after reboot (just easier than stop/start services ) remote shows similar problems like you have: Sometimes it works, sometimes not. After stopping Kodi and restarting lirc remote worked always. This is the bad news
The good news is Setting variable CLAIM_DEVICES="always" in file /etc/default/lirc solves this issue here. I've booted many many times, it never happens that remote did not work after change of this setting |

RE: ATI remote wonder after leia upgrade
You're the best!
I've done the same and that also fixes the issue for me. |
