Solved: metoffice.weater No module named PIL

metoffice.weater No module named PIL
Any ideas on this? It's been reported to the author and is marked as 'fixed' i.e. it's not the add-on that is at fault, but something missing or corrupt in python, so looking for a fix in case other add-on require the same bits of the library.

try to install missing dependencies :
(via ssh).
sudo apt-get install python-imaging
