Calibre-Server
I want to let everyone know that Calibre-Server works perfect with Xbian 1.0 Alpha 4. You can share your books with everyone, and use your RPi as mediacenter.
The tut i used: http://linuxserver2011.wordpress.com/2011/03/26/calibre-ebook-server-setup-ubuntu-10-10/ Just install Calibre: Code: sudo apt-get install calibre The required prerequisites will be installed automaticly. Follow the tuturial url i paste above. |

RE: Calibre-Server
Yes, this works brilliantly - one of the main reasons the Pi was so attractive to me was so that calibre can grab newspapers/magazines etc on a cronjob early in the morning and email them to me (very useful if you've got a Kindle, although I've got a Kobo). If anyone's interested, let me know and I'll put up a quick tutorial.
PS, Calibre and its various dependencies takes up >350MB, so make sure a) you've got a reasonably sized SD and b) you have resized it first. |
