connect via crossover cable

Hello everybody,

first I wanna thank you for that project and also thanks to the community for sharing their experience.

I just have one question concerning (eventually) SSH:
I have a Windows PC with MobileDataStick - Internet Connection, a crossover cable connecting PC and RPi and Putty.exe ... so the PC is the only device connected to the WWW.

Do I - in the described, special case - have the possibility to ssh to RPi from my PC, or are there other possibilities ?

Hi,
thanks for answering that quickly.
To be honest, I'm really not into all that network, ssh, etc. stuff.
So I tried to follow the installation / configuration tutorial offered.
But when it comes up to SSH, the problem occurs;
No internet for RPi, no IP adress to type in Putty ...
