I am trying to install samba through the xbian config:

config>packages>samba

i choose 2 install/update

i confirm with Yes

It tells me it is installing/updating this package

It hangs !

are you refering to the GUI (XBMC) version of xbian-config ?

No, the SSH version of xbian-config
