But since it's a XBMC sort of project I would deffo go with famous movies from IMDB top 250 starting at A.. that way the board could get some activity on forums/web page voting on what the name suits for 2 versions in the future (Like if you start with say A -Alien (Or maybe Avengers.. whatever) you are already working on B -Blade Runner we could vote on C (Casino, Casablanca, Cinema Paradiso etc etc).. This generates some traffic to either forum or depending on your web page solution to the web page.
XBian 1 Mission Impossible?
XBian 1 Avatar?
No thanks not movie's.
Maybe the old mythic greek gods
enough chooses here.
I use the greek gods also as names for my servers =)
well I would just stay with numbering, whis is simple and clear
We need this in the testing branch (posted on XBMC forum):

Together they should reduce CPU load by about 7.5% on a non-overclocked pi.

This is most obvious when on a static screen, but it should always have some benefit (e.g. when playing video).
I've pulled the commits into newlock3 and they work for me. I'd be interested if you can see any benefit, and if there are any regressions.

It can still be used: XBian 1.0 (Phoebe)

I think so too. Although it could be nice if your media center is called Gromit or Kenobi it could also cause a lot of trouble when you think about the fact that every XBMC version also has its own name. So Gromit is Gotham but Rantanplan is the nightly of the next version of XBMC (Atlantic City or sth.) - ah I already get confused. So I would be totally fine if there was just the numbering like XBian 1.0, 1.1 and 2 Testing Release.
