It will be.
I don't see anything special about it currently, I know it crashes like crazy on my Android tablet.

Nice. How are you so sure though, since I never saw alpha 4 either. Not sure who from the team does the XBMC updates.

It's been a tossup of people. I'm not 100% sure because sometimes there are issues with stability, just pretty sure.

Of course it's not needed! Neither is a mediaplayer, a TV, a car, a house. Hell, you can even survive a couple of days/weeks without food.
Doesn't change the fact that I personally do like updates, primarily cause that's how I tick, but I'm also curious for example, if the RPi can play H265 (prolly not), how the new FFMPEG codec behaves etc etc. Is that really so strange, on a user-forum for an OS of all places?!?

Also, mk01, I see a lot of activity on github from you again on the project, but no new packages. Is apt.xbian.org still the repo-location?

We need some internal restructuring of the apt repository since brantje's server stopped suddenly. As soon as that is completed, the apt repository will be updated to.

Hi, this update seems to be important, cause it may support DACs and Hifiberry.
