Mine is on the van for delivery today! Smile
But I have to go out Sad

PS Does the code have to be written for multi threading on the multi core pi, or does the pi have inbuilt ability to use the extra cores automatically?

Depends on the programmers. My program pilight is fully multi-threaded so that will benefit greatly.
I believe it's all done on kernel level, but let's the clever ones reply

It's here! Tongue

Now to investigate the gpio pins on this one and test it's power draw.

S.
Kodi/XBMC is already multithreaded, can use up to 8 threads simultaneously.
Is the current version of Xbian compatible with RPi 2, if not do we have any idea when builds will become available?

great to hear this Smile so XBian should really benefit from the extra CPU cores once the preview-release problems are fixed

That one needs to be dd-ed right? (The usual installer won't work?!)
Not yet, first need feedback. You can also use win32diskimager.

If only I had a windows PC Sad
How is the first impression regarding performance, is the hardware upgrade really noticeable with XBian?
I have RPi 2 running the XBIAN build from this thread. XBMC seems faster, but not as much as I expected.

I tried OSMC and XBMC in this distro seems much faster on RPi 2 than in XBIAN on RPi 2.

Have Fun Smile
