Hi guys, I'm having a little problem where, if I just use the WiFi pen (remove the network cable) the pi it will not boot, don't know why, and since where he is going to be use there is no way of passing cable :/.

I have use the raspbmc(now the osmc), openelec and so one and the WiFi as allways worked without any troubles, but having some other troubles with them, thats why I wanted to try xbian

here is the boot log: http://pastebin.com/iuwPEzLA
What does "not boot" mean in your case?

It wasn't booting, after starting the network (according to what show on the TV) some times stoped at starting xbmx and so one, but after the 4 install it boots, but the pen wifi doesn't work, I have tryed several guides that are here on the forum and none worked, I did go back to OSMC Sad

Thanks any way for the help
So it does boot but XBMC doesn't start right? That's a major difference in debugging this.

Hehe sorry about it. But yes that was the problem, but after 4 installs it started to boot, but whatever I do to try to get the WiFi it doesn't work, I did try this:

Got that rfkill: /dev/rfkill no such file or directory :/

and others from that topic
Code:
sudo wget https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8188eu/raw/c83976d1dfb4793893158461430261562b3a5bf0/rtl8188eufw.bin -O /lib/firmware/rtlwifi/rtl8188eufw.bin
And reboot.
Thanks will test it when my GF arrives with the laptop since don't have a card reader on the Desktop hehe (need to install again xbian)
Edit: IT WORKS !!! Big Grin Thanks again for all the help and patient Big Grin
