is it possible to add a package that is not in your repository? There is a package in Raspbian (jessie) called weavedconnectd that I would like to install and try in xbian.

Just add the Raspbian jessie sources and install the package. Take care with updating though, because debian and raspbian packages could get mixed up.

My thought was to add the Raspbian Repo to xbian.list install the package and then remove the Repo form the list. When I tried to install the package, I get package not found. so I checked with apt-cache and the Repo was not listed.
Any chance we can get the package added to xbian Repo? I am sure there are others who would like to be able to "remote desktop" their PIs
You can also try to download the package manually from their servers and install it with dpkg.
