Thanks for the reply. Its connected directly to the pi. Will try the solution when i get home. Elsewhere on this forum, i read that i could delete a 'wireless power off ' li e from etc-network-interface. I found the file and the line, but dont seem to have permission to change the file. Tried with ftp and no idea how to do it via ssh. Ill see if this works in the first instance.

can't you just type sudo nano your_file_name and change whatever it is you want to do?
