Hey Guys,

is there a list of tv tuners that work with live tv on xbmc ? I'm in canada we use bell satelite and want to make sure I can connect it. Anyone help
Not yet, can you choose an adapter (I prefer from here: http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-C_USB_Devices). Then I will check if the driver is included.

Is the tv tuner Hauptauge930c (Not 930 c hd) supported?
That one is not supported yet, but if you want we can add support for it (http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-930C )

That will be very friendly if you can support this one.... Wink

How long do I need to wait? or give me a rough explanation how can I do it by myself ! Thanks in advance, I'm new in the Linux topic Angel

An other question which USB DVB-C reciever is supported yet?!
@CurlyMo, can you conpile the firmware? Instructions are on the bottom of this page:
http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-930C )

@koerli All you can find on http://www.linuxtv.org will probably work (if not, there is a high chance we can make them work). People still need to commit their working DVB-C adapters to http://wiki.xbian.org/view/Recommended_and_supported_hardware (as currently non are listed there).
Done: https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian/commit/a9b0618ac59daa9fa2ed30acff423aaecdb36d2f

One downside, it increased the size of the kernel modules + firmware with a whopping 75mb.

How do I integrate the new kernel modules + firmware into my xbian1.0Alpha5 ?! Can you explain this to me?

75mb is too much to include this by default
Depends on what we support with it.
Seems that it includes a LOT of dvb-c modules so maybe it's not that bad Wink
How do i install xbian altest with the new modules, please help me.

First I've istalled the normal rasbian image and followed your instruction with finish.

After that I typed.
Code:
wget https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian/wiki/Setup-XBian-(Latest)
and than
Code:
./Setup-XBian-(Latest)
and than
Code:
exit and pressed return

was this correct?

Thanks in advance.

This is not a complete list. It lists only specific manufacturers or cards with specific features that are not supported with all cards of the same type.
@manal18

I always advise the users to follow linuxTV portal. as XBian is using standard linux kernel tree and on request we can include out-of-tree drivers as well, this will provide the requestor with most up-to-date and relevant info.

by default XBian comes with almost ALL AVAILABLE modules as compiled. So what is supported by std linux kernel is as module with XBian.
