The more functionality the better right?
still adding undesired functionality just to expand the functionality seems pointless to me, though i assume there will be more people that will be please with such addition

Not necessarily. I switched to XBian because it's lightweight but still customizable. Nice balance between the "other two". What kind of work would you guys need to do if we integrate the anime branch? Base functionality's still there. It just treats anime and single-season series with absolute numbering.
Personally I also switched to SABNZbd because NZBGet kept freezing even after several reboots. Maybe I should've just cleared the caches or something.
Unless anyone else is interested we could do a custom guide on setting it up. Swapping to that version seemed to work alright and same scripts load the daemon up at startup.
I would love to have this possibility built in. Also find it odd this isn't a option in the master version of Sickbeard.
Any chance this will make it in the package?
+1 for this in regulard package
Btw. can you add a guide or something howto make anime branch on xbian?

Regarding your post: It's disproportionally popular. The anime stuff is always on the forefront of new technologies. They had h264 first, now 10-bit encoding. You can count on Anime viewers being heavy users of this solution.

personally don't understand the "let's hurry" with "new" technologies if for instance there is no hw decoder available currently.
