WMC as the backend
There is a great project going on at XBMC the thread can be found here

WMC as the backend - http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=171216&highlight=xbian

Raspbmc has included this in their builds, can this be done in Xbian?

The download is here
https://googledrive.com/host/0ByNnAMYBoWvfTk8tRWJXYko1T2c/index.html

Thanks

RE: WMC as the backend
I'm sure it will be added in future releases, as to when or release is another matter - it all depends on compatibility with Xbians bleeding edge software.

Keep an eye out for Beta 2.1 ideas thread and add your suggestion there.

the client will for sure compile, so client binary package can be provided, but there is need for a server part as well and of course WMC so windows …

currently nobody from devs is able to test and properly maintain such setup. if someone with windows, WMC, working addon server part installed from users decides to actively care around it, then we will provide the XBian part with knowledge support bundling etc happily.

PVR Client for Windows Media Center
I have made available addons for both Frodo and Gotham versions of XBMC running on Xbian. They are available for download from the main support thread over on the XBMC forum: WMC as the backend - released. Please try these out and report back your experiences!

thanks m8, hope it would help some of the people and they find it useful. Also I merge other thread about the WMC into this so it would be easier to search

*** Update 11/16/2013 - As of November 8, the XBMC PVR API has been upgraded to version 1.9 in the latest nightlies. The downloads currently available are only for nightly builds before this upgrade occurred.

The addon can now be installed and updated through my repository.

Download the Gotham Repository

Download the Frodo Repository

As always, please refer to the original thread for support: WMC as the backend - released.

That would be awesome! What do you need me to do to get this on the repo?

nothing. I will just grab the files as you prepared for your repo and copy to xbian repo.

just will generate the repo inventory including your two repo installers.

Perfect! Glad I could contribute!

Also, if you merge my git branch when you build xbmc-pvr-addons, it will compile the pvr.wmc at the same time as all the other pvr addons and then can be distributed along with the official xbian xbmc package.

https://github.com/theimmortal68/xbmc-pvr-addons

I forked it from opdenkamp and the only change is the addition of pvr.wmc.

Re: PVR Client for Windows Media Center
Version 1014 of the PVR is now available. This will only work with Gotham nightlies built after November 8th due to a change in the PVR API. If you are on a Gotham version built before November 8th you can still download version 1013.

Download Here
