Converting Xbian to run on LG TV's
Is it possible to "build" and Xbian port for LG "smart" TV's ?
This TV's have a MIPS dual core as CPU (no idea if they have any kind of GPU) and at least 512MiB RAM. They run LG stripped down version of Linux core 2.6.x and have internal MMC flash drive. Since i'm no dev (not even a decent coder ) i don't know if the idea is interesting for anyone besides me lol. Anyway i just wanted to share my idea. Thks to all. |

@Exnor I think the definitive answer from @belese in "Share your RPi pictures" thread was that is was not possible on LG.
Would you agree? If so can we close this thread or are you still hopeful :-) Please read before you post How to post a log file If you liked my help, click on "Thanks" to show your appreciation.

openlgtv.ru may be better place to ask that question. But I don't think it's something that can be done.

Thks for the info I'm already in that forum since i got a LG "smart" TV lol. But my model is to recent and nobody was able to hack in to the device :/ . My TV uses the Broadcom BCM35230 SoC (Link: http://investor.broadcom.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=541749) and so far the hack team was unable to circuvent the Firmware signature part... And its even works for TV's made from 2012 and beyond |

RE: Converting Xbian to run on LG TV's
I saw no codes in my manuel for direct tv - I think that this tv remote should also run my satellite - does anyone know the codes?
