This issue was discussed here: https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian/issues/search?q=172 and i thought it is implemented in Alpha 5. Am i wrong? What shall i do to get this feature? My system info: Xbian 1.05a XBMC 12.0 Git:20130127-fb595f2 (Compiled: Jan 30 2013) Kernel3.6.11 Firmware:1.2 RE: Official XBian 1.0 Alpha 5 thread - CurlyMo - 26th Feb, 2013 07:29 PM It isn't. If you know how to do it, update XBMC + firmware + kernel from the beta 1 branch on git. Or else wait for Beta 1. It's not that important RE: Official XBian 1.0 Alpha 5 thread - markhiswords - 26th Feb, 2013 09:34 PM (26th Feb, 2013 08:04 AM)CurlyMo Wrote: @markhiswords, does this sound familiar: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/commit/fea69f6e9e7c59fb292a026ff6aead6b17f21738 That sounds like my issue indeed. Faces are all in blue, so it makes sense that red and blue are swapped. Can I do anything with this github thread myself? RE: Official XBian 1.0 Alpha 5 thread - CurlyMo - 26th Feb, 2013 09:41 PM It seems that it's a bug in the hdmi_ignore_hotplug setting. So maybe removing it from your config.txt RE: Official XBian 1.0 Alpha 5 thread - min - 27th Feb, 2013 05:09 AM (26th Feb, 2013 06:28 AM)rikardo1979 Wrote:(26th Feb, 2013 06:16 AM)min Wrote: So are there any ideas about the weird box resolution? that's fixed it, thanks Since alpha5 only low resolution posters - mr.foo - 27th Feb, 2013 05:17 AM Hey there, I did a fresh install today with xbian alpha 5. However, the poster art is only downloaded in a low resolution and looks, well... suboptimal to say at least. First I thought it might be a xbian problem, but a quick check with openelec (OpenELEC-RPi.arm-2.99.3) from 21.02.13, revealed the very same problem. So I guess it is xbmc related. Any advice? :-) Cheers, mr.foo RE: Official XBian 1.0 Alpha 5 thread - namtih - 27th Feb, 2013 04:49 PM I think you can set the prefered resolution in the Artwork Downloader addon, so browse to the the addon menu and check the configuration of it. You could also check the "advancedsettings.xml" in your home directory and try to increase the values for thumb files. RE: Official XBian 1.0 Alpha 5 thread - MRKSTWRT - 27th Feb, 2013 10:46 PM All working well! I'm having a problem with airplay though, can play videos over airplay but not music. I can choose Xbian from the device but nothing happens in Xbian. This previously worked for me in alpha4. Xbian Alpha 5 no so smooth - anonimo200 - 28th Feb, 2013 12:50 AM Good evening. I've installed Xbian Alpha 5 and, in my opinion, XBMC is not as smooth as the one I had (starting from Raspbian, following the Readmi instrucitions and updating to the last kernel, fimware and XBMC according to https://github.com/xbianonpi/ ) with the same config.txt, plugins and XBMC configuration. Navigation across the menus is not so fluid. Has anybody else experienced the same behaviour? Thank you and regards RE: Xbian Alpha 5 no so smooth - CurlyMo - 28th Feb, 2013 12:57 AM It's not clear to me what you exactly did? Installing only XBian or Raspbian? Alpha 5 Won't Boot - TarkaDaal - 28th Feb, 2013 01:06 AM I've just downloaded Alpha 5 (twice) and I can't get it to boot. The model B RPi is brand new, and I've had Raspbian booting off it. If I remove all peripherals (so it's just SD and power), I get the same result - red LED on, green LED blinks once, then stays off. I'm using a high quality power supply rated at 5.25V, 2A: this one, in fact; https://www.modmypi.com/raspberry-pi-accessories/5v-2A-modmypi-raspberry-pi-power-supply I've not modified anything about it - it's only been out of the box an hour. I'm trying to use it with HDMI/keyboard/WiFi attached, but as I say, it doesn't seem to boot even with no other devices attached. Any assistance would be very helpful, Dan RE: Xbian Alpha 5 no so smooth - anonimo200 - 28th Feb, 2013 01:10 AM i installed Xbian Alpha 5 from the image I downloaded here, and I feel XBMC is not as smooth as the old one (installed from Raspian, updating, etc) |
