1) Make sure the adaptor is working - test it on another machine.
2) Make sure the adaptor is in a powered Hub - they can use more than 100ma 3) Network manager is not required - and fails in RC1 4) Check that the adaptor has been recognised - run dmesg|grep WLAN 5) Use the SSH xbian-config - it has always worked for me. 6) You don't need to change the encryption type. 7) That's $60 8) Be patient.
