Can you post the output of 'dmesg', 'lsusb', and 'cat /proc/bus/input/devices'

Did you check them?

I suspect Lircmap.xml is reverted to default config,that's why irw shows the incomming commands but XBMC doesn't respond.
Or am i misunderstanding your issue?
